Alittle bit of what we have been up to the past month

So I think I have decided that since I can't seem to update weekly, simply because we live boring lifes, I will try and do monthly updates:
4/28/2010: Crazy hair day at work:
Chad had crazy hair day at work.

4/24/2010: Mini Golf
Chad and I love to go Miniature golfing, so we decided to take the kids and give them a try at it as well. They still don't understand the concept of it all and they prefer to just pick up the ball and either put it in the hole or right by the hole. Adam would get so excited everytime he pulled hi ball out of the hole, a little victory dance was done every hole/ At the end of the coarse there is a volcano that either shots flames up if you make a hole in one or squirts you with water if not. Well the squirted was broken and big suprise, both kids were afraid of the flames. We were slow and had many people pass us but we all had fun and will defiently go again.

 4/23/2010: Bowling
I can't believe we took the kids bowling for the first time and yes I forgot my camera. Both kids really enjoyed it. Mari stepped over the foul line, fell and her ball fell on top of her. She won't step over it again!

4/22/2010: Swimming with the Kids at the Lehi Legacy Center
During our weekend visit with Mari and Adam we took them swimming. We are teaching them how to swim and float. Mari does really well and Adam not so much. He is scared of the water and hates it getting on his face. They have improved alot since the first time we took them, though.

Adam doesn't enjoy the slide much but I wanted a picture

And of coarse I had to have Chad go down! I went down as well but no picture :(

4/20/2010: Tulip Festival
It was my week to plan date night for Chad and I, I love tulips so I figured whats better to do then go and walk around the Gardens at Thanksgiving Point. We went a grabbed some Subway first and had a little picnic at the Gardens. I am amazed at the amount of different kinds of Tulips and how beautiful they are all. We saw all ages and different type of people. I was amazed at the amount of people there getting engagment and wedding pictures done but I guess there really is no better place.

Update

So, when I started this blog thing, I told myself I would keep it updated.... So much for that. Well here is a brief summary of what we have been up to.
January: I celebrated my 25th birthday.... UGH, I'm getting old. So for my birthday I basically spent the day at doctors. I went to my family doctor because I was always hot and tired. We found out I have a vitamin d deficiency... Oh and once i was put on medication it cured like everything. I also went to the orthopedic doctor... bad news: Surgery is in the near future. Then lastly the dentist. I also made Chad go to the doctor... he later had a ct scan and surgery was in his near future as well.
Chad celebrated his 25th birthday on February 3rd.
On March 6, Chad and I celebrated our 1-year anniversary. It has ben a great year.... The best actually. Chad and I still have yet to have our first fight... I'm waiting for it! LOL! We didn't do anything big for our anniversary and plan to celebrate it this summer for a week in California. Chad took me to get my hair colored and cut and to get my nails done. I am so spoiled and I love it.
Later in March... I had surgery on my knee. I had a torn meniscus and some cartilage that needed to be smoothed out. Surgery went well and while I am still recovering I feel great. I was very lucky to have my mom come and stay with me for 2 weeks to help out around the house and to help with the Daycare. It was so nice.... She also made Mari an Easter Dress while here. It turned out so cute, I can't wait to take her Spring pictures in it. A week after my surgery, Chad went under the knife. His whole life he hasn't been able to smell or breathe out of his nose. He didn't recover as fast as I did but is great now. I think sometimes he wishes he still couldn't smell but sure is glad he can breathe. (so am I, he doesn't even hardly snore now)
March 25-28: We went to Vegas for a weekend with my Mom, Don (step-dad) and Little sister, Janine.
We went down there to attend Monster Jam World Championships. Oh it was so much fun. We all had such a great time and enjoyed the 70 degree weather. On the last night we were there Chad and I rode the monorail down to the very end of the strip (we were staying at the opposite end). We walked around for a few hours and around 2:30am we decided it was time to find the monorail station and head back and go to bed..... Ya we got there 5 minutes too late. The stations all closed at 3am and we didnt know that. Needless to say we had to walk all the way back to our hotel. I was so tired and we didn't get back until almost 4:30am. I am way to old for those late nights. It was so much fun and are planning on making it a yearly trip.

Oh what a New Year

So Chad and I had a great New Years Eve. We went over to our friends house and played games until Midnight. It was a fun time and great food. It was kind of funny though because Anita sister came over to say hi and thier dog ran over to her and peed on her foot. I of coarse laughed and laughed (it was late and everything was funny). After midnight we came home and fell fast asleep. Chad and I then just got to spend the rest of the weekend together really doing nothing but being bored. Oh Chad got new tires 450 dollars later... Ugh I hate how everything cost so much money.
Yesterday as my wonderful husband decided to do the laundry so that I didn't have to... I heard him call up to me saying "Shell I think your washer sprung a leak", not what I wanted to hear. I make my way downstairs. Sure enough water everywhere. I was thinking to my self really whatelse can go wrong right now. I was so stressed that I just want to cry, but didn't because I hate letting people see me cry. UGH!!! So Chad then called his dad and his dad told him to check the pump. Heck we have never taken apart a washer and needless to say it took us a while, hopefully we will be able to put it back together. Well good news is that it did infact look as if it is the pump. So next we go searching for the part, well being Sunday nothing is opened except Sears and big suprise the part we need is one back order..... Great no washer for awhile. Anyone have one we can borrow for a few hours to wash clothes? UGH!! what a way to start the New Year! HAPPY NEW YEARS everyone
